Are you struggling with climate anxiety?

We work with climate-aligned individuals to transform the psychological stress of climate emergency into emotional resiliency and authentic belonging.

In all our clients we have seen;

  1. a decrease in reactivity to stress-inducing climate emotions,

  2. a shift in perspective of how we relate to the world,

  3. and an increased sense of camaraderie in a community of people who care about our future on this earth.

Our clients achieved this through our blend of mindfulness, eco-therapy, and leadership training.

Client Journey:

One client frequently lost control of her emotions while working, turning her camera off during meetings to cry. Arguments with her partner were common, with connection drifting from differently held viewpoints on the climate.

This client came to us because she wanted more control over her emotions, struggled with how to show up as an ally to her BIPOC community, and wanted to rise in the ranks of her company.

We worked together for 6-months with a mixture of one-on-one coaching, self-guided reflection work, adoption of eco therapeutic practices, and participation in support groups.

Over this time period, she reported decreased episodes of emotional breakdown, and was admitted as a DEI training facilitator. Friction dissolved in her relationship with her romantic partner, leading to increased intimacy. All while receiving a promotion at work.

Another Client Journey:

When we met this client they felt incredibly trapped by their career. This father of two was overworked but felt guilty taking any time for himself because of he was afraid of the future he was leaving his children. His partner resented him for taking long walks for himself. He was afraid of losing his job because he would lose control of his temper during meetings.

He came to us because he was experiencing burnout and did not know where to turn. He was stuck between anger at the lack of progress to mitigate climate change in his job, the duty he felt to his children, and his compromised nervous system from being burned out.

We worked together for 4-months, during which he was able to explore his climate-emotions in our support group, self-reflection exercises, and through various eco-therapeutic practices.

As a result he was able to negotiate a month long sabbatical from his job to rest and recover from burnout and reconnect with his family. During which he made his relationship with his family healthier and stronger. He then returned to work with renewed energy and focus, becoming a helpful mental health and wellness resource for his coworkers.

A Third Client Journey:

This client had just started at her company following completing his PhD program and felt alienated from coworkers due to starting mid-pandemic. Her response to social and climate anxiety was freezing. She would freeze mid-presentation and could not articulate her feelings during our first several support groups.

She came to us afraid that she was going to lose her job, apartment, and would be unable to pay her student loans.

After three-months of working with her she not only was able to articulate her emotions and able to breeze through presentations, but also found a new way of looking at her role in mitigating climate change and found authentic relationships among her coworkers.

Anonymous Praise

“This work stretched me in ways I haven't been in a long time. It allowed me to explore feelings, judgements, and modes of thinking I have taken for granted, enabling me to get beyond the feeling to understand the root. I really enjoyed the variety of exercises we explored which felt like a sampling platter of tools and resources which could be selected from and applied to suit ones own schedule and interest. This varied approach allowed me to focus on the work that most resonated with me.   Tegan is a deep and compassionate listener.”

“The Climate Anxiety Program is a thoughtful and well-designed process to reflect on the very real and present issues of climate change and how it is impacting our emotional and physical well-being. Taking the time to reflect on the topic itself and going through this program has helped me connect more deeply with colleagues and is positioning me to think more creatively and deeply on the impacts of and solutions to climate change.”

“This program is well-structured and thoughtfully designed. I loved how the workbook was laid out. Each week started with a beautiful written introductory thought that teed up a moment of reflection and practice exercise. The flow of the program follows an intentional arc and the exercises prompt a wonderful balance of introspection, imagination, and inspiration. Tegan's knowledge, passion, and care shine through, both in the workbook and in our sessions. She leads by example by being present, demonstrating empathy, and opening her heart to the group.”

“Tegan is a wonderful facilitator. I appreciated the thought and care she brought to all of the exercises and every meeting. She feels like a safe space and created a wonderful environment for everyone to share in. This work has taught me to be much more gentle with myself, and has shown me that grief highlights what you value and that you dared to live. This work has been absolutely essential for my mental health, and a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with coworkers on a very personal, safe, comfortable level.”

“This process has helped me feel more empowered to take actions I need to sustain my emotional resilience while continuing to work on the climate crisis. From daily activities like taking walks or short breaks outside, to more long-term planning for taking time to recover and recharge later this year during a pause between roles, I have felt more agency to sustain myself in continuing the work.”
